Astra Schedule Mobile App

Are there any plans to create an Astra Schedule App for mobile devices? We have a few users that have inquired about this since the Schedule Grid is not very mobile friendly along with many other features.

  • Thank you for your question, Keegan. We do not have any plans to create a mobile version of Astra Schedule. Instead, as we build new apps in our Ad Astra platform we are targeting desktop, tablet, and mobile form factors when appropriate. In 2020, we are focused on delivering Astra Schedule capabilities to these new apps. The apps will not fully replace Astra Schedule, but depending on your specific use cases, they may give you the flexibility you're looking for.

  • Do you know when this mobile functionality will be available?

  • Hi Vicky! Good to hear from you - it's been too long!

Regarding Schedule capabilities in our new apps, we've made a ton of strides in the new platform from an infrastructure and experience perspective in 2020. Today, our primary focus is enhancing Align with schedule capabilities and will follow with core scheduling offerings after that. We are nearing the final phase of releasing our first enhancements to Align very soon. From a planning perspective (disclaimer: plans change, even with the best of intentions) we will be primarily focused on enhancing our new apps with schedule capabilities in Q1 and Q2 of 2021, so the updates will come quickly over the next handful of weeks.

As I mentioned above our intention is to deliver mobile-friendly experiences when it makes sense for you the users, and for us as a business. I foresee that being an ever-evolving balance moving forward and am excited to work with you all on that effort.

  • Hey, Charlie!  Wow!  It's good to see your smiling face, even if it is just a picture.  I had a school post a message in a forum I am a part of asking about Astra and had the APP question.  Thanks for the update!

I can't wait to see what Astra is bringing!!!!
