Section Info With Time of Day Report

Overview

You can access the Section Info With Time of Day report from the Schedule Refinement/Section Lists folder in the Report App. The report includes several different ways of viewing seats, sections, courses, enrollment, and instructor information by time of day. Importantly, it provides the opportunity to filter and view the source data details.

Filters

There are several ways this report can be filtered. All widgets can be filtered using the filters on the right-hand side of the screen. There are multiple filterable dimensions.

Once filtered, You can click on time of day pie pieces, instructors, or courses to filter to that item.  To remove the filter, simply click the “Clear Selection” option on the widget options.

Enrollment Graphs

Each graph displays its total number of that category in the filtered results, broken out by time of day. 

Enrollment Ratio Progression With Time of Day Widget

The Enrollment Ratio Progression with Time of Day widget shows the change in enrollment ratio for the filtered results over time (relative to the start of the term), broken out by time of day. 

• “How full are my sections by time of day?”
• The ratio of enrollment to seats available by time of day as the start of the term approaches
• This information is provided in both the Analyze tab (institutional) and within an individual course

Enrollment Progression With Time of Day Widget

The Enrollment Progression with Time of Day widget shows the change in enrollment for the filtered results over time (relative to the start of the term), broken out by time of day.

• “How quickly are my sections filling by time of day?”
• The number and % of students registered per time of day as the start of the term approaches
• This information is provided in both the Analyze tab (institutional) and within an individual course

Instructor Enrollment Widget

The Instructor Enrollment widget displays the total number of enrolled seats per time of day being taught by each instructor. The stacked bar chart displays per instructor and works best to expand the widget to full screen and zoom in to certain instructors. 

Course Enrollment Widget

The Course Enrollment widget shows the number of enrolled seats per course, per time of day. This stacked bar chart displays per course and can be expanded the widget to full screen and zoom in to certain courses. 

Section Enrollment Widget

The Section Enrollment widget shows you the number of enrolled seats per section, per time of day and is most helpful when clicking on a single course to see the time of day per section.

Data Table

The data table presents data per the filters that are set.
