Modality by Department Report

Overview

The Modality by Department report can be accessed from the Schedule Refinement/Course Offerings folder in the Report app. It will show each department’s percentage of section offerings, enrollment, and seats by modality. Utilizing the filters in the filter pane, the sections included can be filtered by many attributes including term, part of term, campus, course, instructor, etc.

Filters 

Filters default to ‘Include all’ of that category unless otherwise noted.

Section Offerings by Department Widget

The Section Offerings by Department Widget is a chart that displays a department’s percentage of section offerings by modality. Mousing over each bar will additionally show the total count along with the percentage.

Enrollment by Department Widget

The Enrollment by Department Widget is a chart that displays a department’s percentage of section enrollment by modality. Mousing over each bar will additionally show the enrollment summary along with the percentage.

Seats by Department Widget

The Seats by Department Widget is a chart that displays a department’s percentage of section seats offered by modality. Mousing over each bar will additionally show the seats summary along with the percentage.

Modality by Department Table

The Modality by Department table is a pivot table that shows the information from the three charts above (percentage of sections offered, enrollment, and seats by modality for each department).
