Section Info With Modality Report

Overview

You can access the Section Info With Modality report from the Schedule Refinement/Section Lists folder in the Report App. The report includes several different ways of viewing seats, sections, courses, enrollment, and instructor information by modality. Importantly, it provides the opportunity to filter and view the source data details.

Filters

There are several ways this report can be filtered. All widgets can be filtered using the filters on the right-hand side of the screen. There are multiple filterable dimensions.

Once filtered, You can click on modality pie pieces, instructors, or courses to filter to that item.  To remove the filter, simply click the “Clear Selection” option on the widget options.

Enrollment Graphs

Each graph displays its total number of that category in the filtered results, broken out by modality. 

Enrollment Ratio Progression With Modality Widget

The Enrollment Ratio Progression with Modality widget shows the change in enrollment ratio for the filtered results over time (relative to the start of the term), broken out by modality. 

• “How full are my sections by modality?”
• The ratio of enrollment to seats available by modality as the start of the term approaches
• This information is provided in both the Analyze tab (institutional) and within an individual course

Enrollment Progression With Modality Widget

The Enrollment Progression with Modality widget shows the change in enrollment for the filtered results over time (relative to the start of the term), broken out by modality.

• “How quickly are my sections filling by modality?”
• The number and % of students registered per modality as the start of the term approaches
• This information is provided in both the Analyze tab (institutional) and within an individual course

Instructor Enrollment Widget

The Instructor Enrollment widget displays the total number of enrolled seats per modality being taught by each instructor. The stacked bar chart displays per instructor and works best to expand the widget to full screen and zoom in to certain instructors. 

Course Enrollment Widget

The Course Enrollment widget shows the number of enrolled seats per course, per modality. This stacked bar chart displays per course and can be expanded the widget to full screen and zoom in to certain courses. 

Section Enrollment Widget

The Sectio Enrollment widget shows you the number of enrolled seats per section, per modality and is most helpful when clicking on a single course to see the modality per section.

Data Table

The data table presents data per the filters that are set.
