Intro to Degree Velocity Report

Overview

The Intro to Degree Velocity report displays metrics for your institution and how they are calculated. Each metric listed in column (C) is calculated by dividing column (A) and column (B). A/B = C 

 

Degree Velocity

A ratio comparing actual degree progress to expected degree progress. Productive Credits/Year divided by Expected Credits/Year.

Total Velocity

A ratio comparing the credits taken and the expected credits taken. Total Credits/Year divided by Expected Credits/Year.

Productive Ratio

A ratio comparing credits taken on the pathway to all credits taken. Productive Credits/Year divided by Total Credits/Year.

Time to Degree

The average number of years students would take to achieve the Required Credits, assuming current Degree Velocity.

Credits to Degree

The average number of credits students would take to achieve the Required Credits, assuming the current Productive Ratio.
